How the idea for EQfeedwise came to life
The idea for EQfeedwise came from a simple but pressing need: to have an independent, brand-neutral, science-based ration calculator.
As a horse owner who cares deeply about nutrition, I wanted to check the doses of supplements and feeds I was using to make sure every need was met, without overfeeding or wasting money.
I had done several nutritional assessments before, but they often lacked clear sources, detailed explanations, and flexibility to adjust quickly based on the season, the horse’s condition, or workload.
And each time a product became unavailable, I had to recalculate everything from scratch.
When I couldn’t find such a tool, I decided to create it.
With my background as a mechanical and biomechanics engineer, and my co-founder’s expertise in optimization, we built EQfeedwise a transparent, reliable, and truly brand-agnostic ration calculator, grounded in real scientific data.
Our goal: to give every horse owner autonomy, clarity, and confidence in their feeding decisions.
